Every minute of every hour in a class or a practice session is important. All you have to do is go to Harold Night, you can see teams that have all the members show up to practice, do the better shows. You can actually see the results. When even one member misses a practice session, that group cannot grow, cannot try new things. They just “Get By”.
Are you on three indie teams and you have to choose which practice or show to go to? You’re not hurting yourself, you are fucking over your scene partners. Improvisation is about connection. Connection between you and your teammates, and then connection between your team and the audience. You cannot do it alone.
