I’ve been catching up on Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez’s amazing Locke & Key series of graphic novels (and they are great) before it all wraps up this summer. I was thinking it would make a really good TV show, but apparently Fox gave it a shot already and declined to pick up the series. Too bad.

Somewhere around 7pm EST on Monday, when there was no new news to report and just a lot of recycled disaster footage, I came across this (two-part) video on “The Storytelling of Science.” Such scientific/literary luminaries as Neil Degrasse-Tyson, Richard Dawkins, Bill Nye, Neal Stephenson, and others, all talking at length about their favorite science stories. It’s inspiring, delightful, and probably the most positive distraction I could’ve found at that time. It’s long, but you take it in sips.
